Next on the things you can do, there is Inver Wood Golf. Inver Wood’s 27 holes sit on 275 acres of rolling, wooded terrain. The championship course offers 18 challenging holes with features that utilize the area’s natural geography, such as multi-level fairways, multiple tee stations, varied shaped U.S.G.A. greens, and picturesque par three holes that challenge your golf game as well as your senses.
Inver Wood’s practice center is uniquely designed with two fairways, along with strategically placed greens and bunkers that add more dimension to the driving range concept. The practice center was designed to offer an “on course” feel that allows the golfer to work on his or her game in an actual golf hole environment.
Come experience the southeast metro’s premier golf facility. The combination of amenities offered at Inver Wood will prove to be enjoyable for golfers of all levels. Whether your group is just starting out, or are avid golfers looking for a new challenge, Inver Wood has what you’re looking for. Inver Wood also offers a quality food and beverage service set in some of the finest scenery nature has to offer. Bring your group out to enjoy everything Inver Wood has to offer.
There are also skating rinks for people who are into that sort of thing. The City of Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation Department operates three warming houses/park shelters at selected outdoor skating rinks throughout the winter season. View the schedules below for warming house attended hours and amenities.
Outdoor skating rinks will open December 21 through Feb 18. Schedules are subject to change due to weather and/or ice condition.
During open hours, rink lights will be on and the facilities will be supervised (except where noted below at South Valley and Southern Lakes parks).
These rinks will be closed if:
- The temperature is -15 degrees F (actual or wind chill)
- 2″ or more of snow accumulates after 3:30 p.m. (weekdays)
- 2″ or more of snow accumulates on weekends, rinks will close
- Warm temperatures soften the ice
